Show Notes

Welcome to Navigating Postpartum Wellness — the podcast created for moms who feel like they’re doing it all but still wonder if they’re doing enough.

This show is your reminder that your wellness matters too. Hosted by Jaree Williams, a writer, speaker, and homeschooling mom of two, every episode offers honest reflections, practical wellness strategies, and faith-rooted encouragement for the mother who’s tired of the hustle and ready to align with peace, presence, and purpose.

We talk about the parts of motherhood people don’t post about — the hard moments, the identity shifts, the guilt, the healing, and the wins worth celebrating.

Whether you’re folding laundry, hiding in the bathroom for a break, or driving in silence after drop-off, this space is for you. You’re not too much. You’re just set apart.

Jaree Williams welcomed Dr. Hallie Yanez, a physical therapist and pre/postnatal strength specialist, for an honest and empowering conversation about postpartum recovery. This episode centers on core and pelvic floor healing, strength training safety, and nourishing the body during the postpartum season.

Dr. Yanez explains why core and pelvic floor recovery is often overlooked and reassures moms that it is never too late to heal. She breaks down diastasis recti, why it’s so common, and how foundational core work and functional strength training can safely begin as early as three to four weeks postpartum (with proper guidance).

The conversation also addresses postpartum depletion and nutrition, reframing food as fuel for healing rather than restriction. Dr. Yanez shares her practical “2-2 method” for meal prep and encourages moms to prioritize nutrition alongside just 10 minutes of intentional daily core work to support healing from the inside out.

This episode challenges bounceback culture and offers a more grounded, sustainable approach to postpartum strength, recovery, and long-term wellness.
